The Indians are so looking forward to next year, they already released the 2009 schedule. Red Sox at the end of April, the Yanks visit at the end of May. A weekend series at Wrigley in June might be a nice way to start the summer. Only 9 home games in July though. They load up in September again with 18 games.

Speaking of the Indians, I went to another Tribe game last night. My boss suggested a bunch of us go from work and five took the bait. So, it was my fifth game this month and final game of the year. Cliff Lee pitched and we had excellent seats, right behind home plate. We were located low enough, that if you looked, I was on the TV.

BTW, that was one really large beer, if it looked like I was downing several on camera (he says crossing his fingers). It was my first time in HD and I don't feel any different. Again it was a long game, hitting the 3:50 mark. Two strange occurrences, a Lee no-decision and a Travis Hafner homer. The Indians prevailed, and swept the Twins, 6-4.

The A.V. Club gets into "Fight Club". I am one of the few (B.O. was $37 million) who actually saw this movie in a theatre. This was the movie that started by fascination with one Mrs. Tim Burton. And it spawned the website, What Would Tyler Durden Do?

Did you know VH-1 Classic is celebrating "Rush Hashanah" on September 29? Yeah, 24 hours of Rush! Reminds me of when the Cartoon Network had "Hadji New Year". Also, looks like Pink Floyd gets the Thanksgiving Day treatment, as well.

Methinks the BBC needs to update their photo files. Seriously, could this be the only one of Rudy Giuliani they have?

Forget the hacking of Palin's e-mail. The Onion gets inside Obama's e-mails. Nice jab at MoveOn.org.

The 50 Greatest Quotes of Charles Barkley. I love Chuck and most of these are pretty good.

Cannot say enough about the writing of Jeff Pearlman lately. Another gem about the largely forgotten life of Lyman Bostock.
