Kind of a lazy day today. However, the legacy of Bush is an interesting, but long read. Probably won't change anyone's mind, but it does point out you often have to wait a while to assess a presidency. Well, at least the historians tell you that.

Meal of Links

Here are ten overused words in writing. Did not use a single one in the prior sentence.

It has ended badly for "The Insider", Pat O'Brien. Yeah, he was still on the air all this time.

S. and I had lunch yesterday at Chrissie Hynde's restaurant, The VegiTerranean. Can't recommend it enough. I had a Stuffed Banana Pepper that had the freshest-tasting pepper I've ever had. The Hard Rockin' Burger was outstanding. Good vibe there and a really sharp space to boot. Celeb photos on the wall included: Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Morrissey, K.D. Lang, Martina, Joaquin Phoenix and others I forgot. But it's in a development in Akron called Northside where there is really nothing else going on. Sunny Friday afternoon at lunchtime and there were barely 15-20 people there. Of course, my portion of the bill was $20 and probably too steep for lunch for most. Certainly could not do that very often.

Still trying to find accurate numbers on what the "government bailout" of Wall Street will cost me. And how come I have to bail out an industry with apparently no oversight and no idea of risk management? Krugman says no to the deal.

Exercise Yard

I had The Ryder Cup on as background most of the day. The U.S. still leads, 9-7, going into Day Three. But another bad day for FIGJAM.
