Before I head off to today's NIT matchup between College of Charleston and Cleveland State, I must say the marathon session at the Q went pretty well. The George Mason-Villanova game was sort of a typical 8-9 game for the excitement, but not necessarily the execution.

Ohio State is who we thought they were. Marquette was VERY impressive in their win over Xavier. And Syracuse kept their feet on Indiana State's throats for most of the game and was never really threatened in the last 18 minutes of the game. More on that later.

But, yesterday was a solid day for the pools. Only missed on Georgetown and Texas A&M for a 14-2 record. 25-7 for the first round, which always keeps you close.

Here are today's winners:

Kentucky
Florida
Richmond (I had Louisville)
San Diego State
Pittsburgh
Gonzaga
Wisconsin
Cincinnati (I had Missouri)
