I happened to see an outstanding movie yesterday, "Murderball". This is a documentary about the United States Quadriplegic Rugby Team. It is an amazing look at the sport of quad rugby, which is basically an excuse for guys to ram the shit out of each other with their custom wheelchairs on an indoor basketball court. Very uplifting. You also have heroes, villains, hot chicks, and is well worth the 90 minutes. Why waste your cash on crap like "Dukes of Hazzard" when you can see stuff like this?

Peter Jennings died over the weekend. Don't forget what a compelling correspondent he was. His work with Jim McKay at the 1972 Olympics was outstanding. That remains one of ABC's greatest days in journalism. Do you realize within the last nine months Rather, Brokaw and Jennings are no longer anchoring the nightly news? Truly, an end of an era.

Meal of Links

Here is why some people are dying in their sleep. Of course, it has to occur in REM and dreaming stages. I've killed enough brain cells without worrying about the ones that allow you to breathe.

The merchandising of Jerry Garcia keeps truckin' along.

Two jurors in the Michael Jackson trial say, "He's bad, bad." Must be publicity hounds.

Exercise Yard

Big one for Tony Stewart at Indy. I love the guy. Probably the one NASCAR driver who reminds me of the old days. Plus, he drives everything. Open wheel, Lemans series, midgets...the whole deal. And I had him in NASCAR Fantasy, hah.

Visitor

It's too late to look.
