The 5 album test is pretty liberal with "great", with respect to REM albums. I'm a big REM fan, but giving them 8 great albums, including 3 Warner Bros. might be shaky. Out of Time is iffy, Green is good. And I've never been sure of the general respectability of Fables of the Reconstruction, although I'm a fan.
