Is our area going nuts?

First of all, a city union gets money for work they were supposed to do, but someone else did the work. An arbitrator ruled the union gets back pay and overtime. I repeat, it was work they were supposed to do, but didn't.

Tim Hagan says county reform may not be a bad idea. OK, good move. Then he floats a preposterous idea that the Medical Mart should be built by East 55th and Chester. Ouch!

Jimmy Dimora now thinks everyone is out to get him and says county reform is a bad idea. He's miffed he didn't get asked to lunch by the PD.

And I think our mayor is in France doing something.

A very strange week around here.

Hall and Oates are getting some cred. You must remember, they were a hit machine there for a while. I still like "She's Gone" from the early days. My guilty pleasure is the "X-Static" album which has "Wait For me" and a bunch of songs you've never heard, but I like.

Is it Men Without Hats? No, it's Famous Men (and One Woman) with Hats (and other accoutrements) Made of Paper Money.

Is the Netflix Player the next big thing? Early reviews are pretty good.

I missed Pete Townshend's birthday yesterday. He clocks in at 63. So here's Pete on the tambo with some additional windmill greatness. With some help from Roger. From Oz.

It's the Champions League Final tomorrow, Chelsea vs. Man U. in Moscow. Two debt-laden English clubs, one owned by a Russian and one owned by an Amish-looking American, Malcolm Glazer, owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nice shoutout to Randy Lerner though.
