Lo and behold, TBS in HD has arrived on my cable outlet. Just in time for the extra inning Colorado-San Diego playoff game tonight and all of the other baseball playoffs starting this week.

Or is it a playoff game? Technically, it's regarded as a regular season game, a one-game playoff if you will, to get into the regular playoffs. So, it's more like a play-in game. TBS just throws up the word "tiebreaker" on the screen and hopes we all understand it.

Rolling Stone rolls out the Top 25 Music DVDs of all time. Excellent choices here and I have seen most of these titles and own several of them. "The Last Waltz" is a worthy number one, on star power alone. I won't go through them all, but these titles show up once in a while on Sundance or IFC, and view them if you have the chance: "Metallica: Some Kind of Monster"; one of my favorites is "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart: A Film About Wilco"; "The Filth And The Fury: A Sex Pistols Film" is a must-see for real perspective on the band; if you haven't seen "Dig!", it's a real gem chronicling the Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre. I probably need to check out "Stop Making Sense" once again. Of course, "The Kids Are Alright" could have been higher on the list. Check out the trailer with Ringo doing the honors, and especially the live stuff with Pete sliding, Roger at Woodstock, and Moon absolutely annihilating his drum kit:

Late Sunday, I got a message that Radiohead was releasing a new album. But they are allowing the consumer to pay what they want to obtain it. It's the latest experiment in the world of digital downloads. Their popularity will probably carry the day on this one.

And one last music bit.

Look who has a grill endorsement. It's Evander Holyfield. I dunno, George Foreman's been knocking out the fat for a long time, this is in serious catchup mode.
